Beit Almusica

In February 2015 I spent a month in a small Palestinian village just outside of Nazareth, helping a music school there to develop their creative music programme. I worked with young children, experienced music students, and teachers creating new works together and looking at new ways to connect people and support their creativity.

Her Lines

In November 2013 I co-led a project working with migrant women of the East London community, supporting and guiding them in creating their own theatre/music piece at the Arbour. Throughout the project we explored themes and ideas about participants’ sense of identity and home through drama, text, and sound, which culminated in a final performance of the work for other women and families in the community. With support from the Barbican/Guildhall and the Arbour.

Projects in Boulder, Colorado

I have run a few projects in Boulder, including through the Flatiron String Camp and the Boulder Public Library. These were creative music projects, where the music was created collaboratively with the participants, each person having a voice and contributing ideas to the finished piece, culminating in a performance. The participants varied in age and musical ability....
